Guests staying in The Bergerie will notice a nice shiny new cooker in the kitchen. We have replaced the old gas cooker with an induction cooker. This is one more step towards moving away from gas and towards green electricity - much of our electricity is generated ourselves via the solar panels mounted on the pool shade roof.

Last year we replaced the gas hob in the studio with an induction hob and we also have an induction cooker in our house. That leaves only two gas cookers to phase out in the future.

We are also looking to replace the Bergerie/Poterie gas water heaters with either a pellet boiler (such as we have in the house, Grenier, and Studio) or an electric water heater linked to a second photo-voltaic panel installation on the roof of the outdoor kitchen (we have the planning permission already.

We aren't zero carbon yet - but we are constantly investing in technology that is bringing us closer to it. Hope you like!
